BCC is proud to have hundred of N2 - Lasers in operation, serving the needs of scientists in research and industry .
The BCC nitrogen lasers use a novel discharge circuit which offers a number of distinct advantages over the conventional striped-line designs . Solid state storage elements and a new type of pre-ionization are used instead of the large area capacitor plates to produce a compact laser discharge head and reproducible laser pulses of nanosecond and subnanosecond duration .
The high peak power in the UV, the short Gaussian pulse and the high repetition rate are only some of the character features of the N2 - Laser which allows new applications . Such examples are : photochemical researches, pollution control, life time measurements into the subnanosecond range, Raman spectroscopy and medical and biological researches, LIDAR systems .

Pulsed laser deposition (PLD) is developed for advanced thin films technologies based on high-vacuum systems and eximer laser or TEA CO2 laser for ablation and CW CO2 laser or standard heaters for heating .The PLD System provides for producing different thin films, including metal oxide and diamond on a various substrates .
PLD System contains of :
High-vacuum system ( 10 - 6 Torr) with rotary and diffusion pump; Pirani and Penning vacuum gauges ; variable leak valves; vacuum resistant windows with flanges for IR or UV lasers radiation; targets and substrates holders; temperature measurements devices; laser sources.
The firm provides also PLD accessories: substrates and targets moving holders; vacuum resistant windows and lenses; vacuum chambers; calibrated thermocouples.
CW CO2 SS and TEA CO2 Lasers of our own manufacture are used in the Engraving Laser System for marking, engraving and writing on most of the materials . The expanded laser beam is deflected and focused into the working area by a lens or a mirror . The coordinate table with CNC and PC moves the annealed material . Alphanumeric and graphic signs can be marked on the surface without moving the workplace .
The ENGRAVER can mark steel, hard metals, ceramics, plastics, coated surfaces, glass, rubber, wood and special materials . In the marking process the laser changes the parameters of the material by heating, melting, vaporizing or thermochemical effects .
The ENGRAVER system has also a rotary module for engraving cylindrical geometry pieces .
Coordinate X - Y Table :
| 1. Working area (mm2) | 400 x 400 and 600 x 600 |
| 2. Driving | CNC directly by PC |
| 3. Motion speed (m/min) | 0,1 to 5 ( smooth control ) |
| 4. Positioning accuracy | +/- 80 mm |
The optical elements mentioned in this catalogue are referred as standard optics . They meet the basic requirements for this type of optical elements and at the same time they represent only a part of the abilities of the BCC enterprise . We can deliver to the customer optical elements in a variety of diameters and thickness in close tolerances with coatings for different optical ranges, according to his specific needs .
Except the standard high-power laser IR materials ( Si, Cu, Cu/Ni, ZnSe, Ge, GaAs ), we can provide laser finishes on materials such as Mo, quartz, glass, NaCl, KCl, as well OEM materials ( LiNbO, YAG, sapphire, etc. ) .
BCC has developed and manufactured power-meters of thermopile and bolometric type for rapid optical power measurements of a CW or pulsed source . The two air-cooled models measure in the range of 5 - 50 W, while the water-cooled models are able to measure powers up to 2,5 kW . The power-meters are provided for speed, high flux capability, reproducibility, and wide dynamic range .
